Merrill Dubrow: My name is Merrill Dubrow, CEO of M/A/R/C Research and a 35 plus year veteran of their insights community and the host of our podcast, On the M/A/R/C. Welcome to another Merrill-ISM segment. Today's segment is, What Five Words Would a Stranger Use to Describe You After Looking at Your Office? Today's podcast and Merrill-ISM, it's a little different, and actually happened by accident. A few weeks ago, I'm in my office and a colleague came by with a new team member. I had spoken to this person but never met them prior, and they have never been in my office. For some reason, after speaking to the new member of the team for ten minutes, I asked them to take 30 seconds, look around my office, and then give me five words that they feel would describe me as a person. I don't really know why and how I came up with this, but most of you know, my brain doesn't work like most, and it's kind of crazy but I actually liked the activity. The five words that this person used were sporty, passionate, energetic, varied, and quick. Those are the five. Again, sporty, passionate, energetic, varied, and quick. For those of you who know me, do those five words describe me? Are they accurate? Funny, afterwards, I thought about it for a few seconds, and I looked around my office. And there's a few other words that perhaps I would have used, maybe organized, maybe involved, because I have a number of industry awards in my office, maybe family-oriented, because I have lots of family and friends pics in my office. I would be curious. for those who know me, what five words would you use to describe me? For those of you who don't know me and are our listener, what words would you think you would use? Does your office kind of signify who you are? Does it represent your interests? Is it comfortable? And last, what do you think of this activity? And of course, the obvious, would you actually try this crazy exercise? My name is Merrill Dubrow, thanks for listening to today's podcast, What Five Words Would a Stranger Use to Describe You After Looking at Your Office?
