Merrill Dubrow: My name is Merrill Dubrow, CEO of M/A/R/C research and a 35 plus year veteran of the insights community and the host of our podcast On the M/A/R/C. Welcome to another Merrill-ISM segment. Today's segment is hands up. Perhaps you got a little chuckle about that. Since you think maybe, just maybe, Merrill is going to talk about being arrested or something like that since the title is hands up. Actually, no. Sorry to disappoint. No story there. Never happened. However, I have been asked tons of times to put my hands up and I'm sure- very sure many of you have had the same thing happen. Those times happen at the airport, going through a security screen. Well, not this time. Not at this airport. Let me tell you a story. Last month, I'm flying back to Dallas from Newark and at the new terminal A building, I was next in line. Note to everyone, tell you what, terminal A in Newark, the new one, is really nice, as is the LaGuardia new terminal. Back to the story and as I walked into the security screening area, it was hands down. I said, what? And the nice young guy said, hands down. And I looked at the TSA person, I said, really? Yes. And he said, this is the latest and greatest technology and because of that, it's hands down. And also a note, there was no roof on the technology, just two sides, no top. It was cool and interesting, and frankly, awesome, but it also gave me time to think about business, big business, any business. Are they using the latest and greatest technology in their enterprise? To me, there is tons of learning and takeaways from the new terminal A in Newark, and I truly believe all of us should take note and review all of our systems, all of our procedures, to see what we need to do to enhance our business. To take it to the next level. So I ask you, is it time to make some changes in your business and go hands down instead of hands up? My name is Merrill Dubrow. Thanks for listening to today's podcast. Today's segment hands up. Stay well, stay safe and please, please stay in touch.
